- Context
- Marketing teams plan in calendars but create in scattered tools, and a free-form “chat with AI” page produces off-brand content. This product makes the calendar the primary workspace and scopes AI to individual posts.
- Problem
- Generate and edit social content that stays on-brand — across Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn and TikTok — while keeping AI spend controlled and every job observable.
- Constraints
- Third-party platform APIs with app-review gates and rate limits; AI cost control through a credit system; multi-tenant isolation of brand assets and knowledge.
- Role
- Lead developer on a small team — dominant author of the Go backend and React front end, 560+ commits.
- Architecture
- A Go (Chi) API with a React 19/TypeScript front end; Supabase for auth, database and storage; RabbitMQ carries publishing and generation jobs so a slow social network never blocks the UI; Claude-powered generation and inline editing draw on the brand kit and a RAG knowledge base; Stripe billing with credits; OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Jaeger and Grafana instrument the whole path.
- Key decisions
- AI deliberately scoped to post-level surfaces — an inline edit bar and a creation wizard — instead of a chat page, keeping output on-brand and reviewable. Queue-backed publishing over direct API calls. Observability wired in from the start, not bolted on: every generation and publish job is traceable end to end.
- Outcome
- The platform spans brand kits, content plans, a design editor, video generation and cross-platform publishing. Launch status and usage are the owner’s to announce — no claims are made here.
