- Context
- GeniusPay AB provides point-of-sale systems, payment terminals and business management software for restaurants and retail in Sweden. Majed was the company’s CTO and a co-founder from December 2025 to July 2026 — named openly here, because the role is public on LinkedIn.
- Problem
- Payments demand correctness under concurrency, auditability and integration discipline — across backend, cloud, payment devices and third-party integrations.
- Constraints
- A financial domain where mistakes cost money and trust; a distributed team across time zones; and the payment industry’s usual discipline — volumes, partners and internals stay off the public record.
- Role
- CTO and co-founder of GeniusPay AB — owning the roadmap, system architecture, security, infrastructure and team growth, working hands-on across backend, cloud, embedded and integrations.
- Architecture
- A .NET-based payment platform built for reliability, clean architecture and long-term extensibility. Its internal design and code are deliberately not documented publicly.
